Ian joined Infinium over 10 years ago, as Chief Executive Officer and due to business growth has taken up the position of Group CFO. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales and with a BA (Hons) in Accountancy, he leads the administrative side of the Group specifically in all aspects financial, legal and HR, which is becoming an ever-increasing role as the business grows year on year.
Ian’s background includes over 20 years in the holiday park industry, initially as a Senior Manager at KPMG Audit & Assurance Department specialising in working with companies in the holiday park sector, then as Commercial Director of South Lakeland Parks Limited a nine park Group based in the Lake District.
His achievements are many and varied, ranging from a Level 1 qualified Rugby Union coach, qualified Rugby Union referee to being a Grade 8 trumpet and has even won a rosette for equestrian dressage!
Ian’s claim to fame is playing for England at Wembley Stadium, unfortunately, not as a footballer, but as a musician in the Staff Band of the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), he has also studied at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall.
His spare time his spent with his wife, 2 children, and Pippa the dog or at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club where he still (attempts) to play scrum-half or hooker for the 6th Team and coaches the Under 16s. He’s also a keen skier, amateur photographer, cyclist, and horse rider.
