We have an exciting opportunity for a WiFi Architect to join our team.

Location: Preston (PR4 0HF)

Salary: Competitive Salary subject to experience

WiFi Architect – The Role:

The ideal candidate for the role will be customer-focused, a team player and have a ‘Can Do’ attitude.

Duties include design of outdoor and indoor wireless network solutions. Assist the pre-sales phase including due diligence, solution design and proposals.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be involved in delivery oversight and customer acceptance testing.

The role is a mix of home working and visiting client’s sites based nationwide. The role will include overnight stays.

WiFi Architect – Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-sales design of Indoor and Outdoor networks
• Technical oversight of operational delivery
• Site survey work
• Technical mentoring of other Wifi staff
• Supporting the Sales team either on or off site
• Testing and certifying new equipment
• Design and implementing ongoing support functions

WiFi Architect – You:

• Understanding of wireless controllers, switches, access points, routers (Cambium, Cisco and Routerboard, Aerohive & Ubiquiti)
• A thorough understanding of OSI Model and Network technologies
• Excellent understanding of 802.11 Wireless technologies specifically outdoor networks
• Conscientious team player with good interpersonal skills
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

WiFi Architect– Skills and Experience:

Essential:            

• Must have a proven track record in outdoor wireless network design
• CWNA / CWNP or equivalent
• Familiarity with link planning tools
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Exposure/certification with Cambium Networks
• Cisco certification
