Infinium are proud to sponsor the Crank Racing team
More than just a race team…Cranking it up and putting something back
Infinium are proud to be sponsoring the Crank Racing team, a motorbike race team with a difference.
Crank Racing was established in 2014 and their ethos was to create a motor racing team built to WIN whilst putting something back into the sport in a very unique way.
Over the past 3 years, Crank Racing have raised over £140,000 for some incredible causes, supporting charities that are not typically in the limelight. This has included helping train young offenders to Level 3 City & Guilds in Motor Mechanics and assisting young people in care to access suitable clothing and transport to attend interviews.
In 2018, the mission is to help young people sleeping rough on the streets through the amazing work done by the charities Centrepoint and Shelter.
“We know young people sleep rough every night. But there are thousands more you don’t see – spending the night on buses, on sofas or in the homes of strangers. They’re escaping sexual abuse, violence, gangs and fear. Many are homeless because they can’t live with their family, or they have no family. Centrepoint supports more than 9,200 homeless young people a year into a home and a job.”
The racing team have also been going from strength to strength from coming second in the national 2016 Thundersport Superbike series winning 13 races and holding lap records at Cadwell and Donnington to competing in the Irish road racing championship in 2017 and getting a second place in the Isle of Man.
We are looking forward to supporting the team as they gear up for the 2018 season on the road and track (and hopefully the TT) and visiting the team pit side!
